Stax is the point of sale finance platform from Shermin Finance, built for home improvement and renewables retailers. One customer application, routed down a lender lineup configured for your business, with the decision landing live in your showroom. Rebuilt as Stax V3 on our own platform.
Since 1976. 220,000+ customers served. £750m+ originated. 250+ retail partners. 230,000+ Stax applications. Figures as at September 2026.

Stax V3, live
We have rebuilt Stax on our own platform. Pages load in moments, there are fewer screens, and when you tell us something could work better, our own team changes it.

Every application shows a Status and an Action side by side. If it says Customer Action, there is nothing for you to chase. If it says Retailer Action, it needs you.
The lender waterfall
Your customer completes one form. Stax sends it to a lineup configured for your business, typically a prime lender first with a specialist behind it, and reports each decision as it lands.

New on Stax: the Warm Homes Loan Scheme
The Warm Homes Loan Scheme is the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero's loan scheme for home energy upgrades: government support arrives as a cheaper interest rate on the customer's loan. It launches on Stax on 12 October 2026, Shermin Finance has worked closely with DESNZ on the scheme rules, and it is built into Stax. Air source heat pumps, solar PV and battery storage, for owner-occupiers and private landlords, on terms from 36 to 120 months.

How a Warm Homes loan is built
Stax deducts the declared grant from the product value before it sizes the loan, then applies the scheme rate reduction. The customer sees one monthly payment.

Move one. The Boiler Upgrade Scheme grant, declared at quote, comes off first. The loan is sized on what is left.
Move two. Government support arrives as a reduction to the loan's interest rate of up to 5 percentage points, so the customer sees a cheaper payment. Not a cash grant.
Move three. The payment lands. One figure, one agreement, signed electronically in the same journey.
Information for retail partners, not a consumer financial promotion. Illustrative, for demonstration only. Rates, eligibility and terms are set by the scheme lender. Loan caps and the rate reduction are as stated in the Warm Homes Loan Scheme Rules, June 2026.
